The works consisted of the overall refurbishment to two National Trust properties in Helmshore. Works were undertaken in close consultation with the National Trust to ensure that original features were preserved whilst providing modern facilities that would enable these properties to be occupied again.
Work to replace and preserve selective structural elements, refurbish existing windows, renew electrical and mechanical services and renovate the existing building envelopes was undertaken.
B&E Boys have a vast experience preserving and maintaining Grade 1 and Grade 2 listed properties and own a number of historic buildings which have been brought back into use after the Company has undertaken restoration works to them. The Company has undertaken work to Towneley Hall Burnley, St Marys Chambers Rawtenstall, Toll Barr Business Park in Stacksteads as well as preserving a number of former wool, cotton and shoe manufacturing premises that date back to the early 1900's.
